Alan Keyes Is An Idiot

Thursday night Alan Keyes was a featured speaker at a fundraiser for the Triple A Crisis Pregnancy Center. The fundraiser is an annual event. It supports the Pregnancy center which is a Christian organization that counsels woman before and after giving birth.

Keyes said he is putting politics aside Thursday night and he is here to support his pro–life belief. Keyes also had some very strong opinions about President Obama.

“He is a radical communist…He’s going to destroy this country. We’re either going to stop him or the United States of America is going to cease to exist.”

Now I understand politics. You know I get it that you are supposed to take what your political opponent says, take it out of context and twist it into something completely different than what was intended. But this is just plain stupid. I understand that its your job to demonize your opponent. But at what point does demonization become retardation. He also said:

"We're in the midst of the greatest crisis this nation has ever seen. And if we don't stop laughing about it, and deal with it, we're going to find ourselves in the midst of chaos, confusion and civil war. It's time we started acting like grownups."

So this is the greatest crisis the United States has ever faced? Now I'm not an American so perhaps I may be wrong in not agreeing with him. I would have thought that perhaps the Great Depression was a great deal worse than this situation. Also I would have thought that the Nazi war machine was a pretty big threat. Perhaps not just to the United States but to the whole world. So it doesn't count.

And as for acing like grownups? It would be nice if the conservatives started acting like grownups. You know instead of just throwing out ridiculous lies, like temper tantrums because you lost the election.
